What actually happens in a hypnotherapy session?

A hypnotherapy session feels nothing like what you’ve seen in movies. You are always in control and aware of everything that’s happening. We begin by talking about what you’re working through and what you want to shift. Then, through a relaxed, guided process, we help your mind enter a state of calm focus — kind of like the space between being awake and dreaming.

It’s peaceful, soothing, and deeply restorative.

In that state, we can gently access the subconscious — the part of your mind that holds memories, beliefs, and emotional patterns — and replace what’s outdated with what’s true, kind, and supportive.

Most clients leave their session feeling calm, light, and clear — as if something heavy quietly lifted.

Do online sessions actually work?

Yes. In fact, many clients find them even more powerful.

Because you’re in your own home — surrounded by familiar things — your body naturally relaxes and feels safer to open up.

We meet over a private Zoom link, and I’ll walk you through everything step by step. All you need is a quiet, comfortable space where you can rest without interruptions.

You can even bring your favorite blanket or candle — make it your sanctuary.

What if I’ve never done hypnotherapy before?

That’s completely okay — most of my clients haven’t!

You don’t need to “know how” to relax or “believe in” hypnosis for it to work.

You simply need to be open to the process. Your subconscious mind already knows how to enter these states — we all do it naturally every day (like when you daydream or get lost in a thought).

I’ll explain everything before we begin, and we’ll move at a pace that feels completely safe for you.

Will I lose control or say things I don’t want to?

Absolutely not.

Hypnotherapy is not mind control — it’s guided awareness.

You’re awake, conscious, and fully in charge of what you say or don’t say.

You can open your eyes at any point, speak, or shift positions whenever you like.

My job is to create an environment where you feel safe enough to explore — never pressured, never pushed.

How many sessions will I need?

Some clients feel a shift after one session; others choose a full journey over several weeks or months.

Here’s a simple guide:

• 3 sessions (Reset): Ideal for a focused issue like sleep, motivation, or test anxiety.

• 6 sessions (Rewire): For emotional or behavioral patterns that need deeper reprogramming.

• 12 sessions (Renew): For transformation that touches multiple layers — identity, trauma, and self-trust.

During your free discovery call, we’ll talk about your goals and what pace feels right for your energy and readiness.

What’s the difference between hypnotherapy and traditional therapy?

Traditional talk therapy often works with your conscious mind — the logical, thinking part of you.

Hypnotherapy and integrative coaching work with your subconscious mind — where your habits, beliefs, and emotions live.

In other words: therapy helps you understand why you feel stuck.

Hypnotherapy helps you actually shift what’s keeping you stuck.

The two approaches complement each other beautifully. Many of my clients work with both, using hypnotherapy to deepen and accelerate the progress they make in therapy.

Can this help with trauma or anxiety?

Yes — and we’ll approach it with extreme gentleness.

This work is trauma-informed, which means we never dive into painful memories without first building safety in your body.

The goal isn’t to re-live what happened — it’s to help your nervous system know that it’s safe now.

We’ll go slowly, with compassion and permission at every step.

Many clients with chronic anxiety, burnout, or trauma histories experience profound relief after just a few sessions because we’re addressing the root, not just the symptoms.

Is this religious or spiritual?

It can be — if you want it to be.

I honor each client’s personal beliefs and background. This work is not tied to any religion.

If you consider yourself spiritual, we can incorporate that.

If you prefer to keep things purely psychological and evidence-based, that’s equally beautiful.
